Hello! Aloe!

It is no joke that the Maldives is sunny all year round but this is when it gets a little too warm so you have to be careful not to spend too much time in the sun. Even in the shade, it is almost 34 degrees Celsius too warm for clothes and too risky for prolonged exposure. Last year I had a friend from Australia come over and he was literally burnt to a crisp after spending a day on a Sandbank wearing Tanning Oil, the mother of all bad ideas. This is not the time or the place for Tanning Oils this is when you bring out Sun block, Sun Umbrellas and After Sun products. For those of you who are new to this climate please make sure to take precautionary measures because once you get burnt you will feel like hell, it will very likely ruin your dream vacation in the Maldives and we can’t have that.

I spend a lot of time in the sun and so put a lot of thought into ways in which I can be comfortable with the heat and believe me when I say that natural Aloe Vera is the best Sun Block and after Sun Gel. The next time you come to the Maldives or any other sunny destination look for Aloe Vera it is readily available and easy to use. Drink lots of water and make sure you do not spend too much time in direct sunlight. Although it’s extremely warm these days the sea is calm perfect for any activity in the water especially diving and snorkelling the visibility is just superb.
